November 4, 2004 — A study about the Pharmanex® BioPhotonic Scanner was recently highlighted in an article published on the online health website nutraingredients.com. The article notes a recently published study that found that the Pharmanex® BioPhotonic Scanner is an accurate and safe way to measure carotenoids in humans. The study showed that the Scanner produced carotenoid measurements with less variability than blood carotenoids (measured by conventional HPLC methods). The study also found a strong correlation between the BioPhotonic Scanner scores and blood carotenoids.
